People Our Elites Couldn’t Care Less About

Ed Driscoll at Hot Air posted this:

THAT WAS THE RIOT THAT WAS: Veteran blogger and Instapundit reader Pierre Legrand emailed a massive core dump of video clips of the past several days’ events:

Have tried to post these in DISQUS and it pukes everytime I try. This needs to be posted so we can keep track of it.

Not sure this will work out but I want to post this list of terror attacks before it’s deleted.

Go here to read the rest.  Criminal mobs coast to coast go on a murderous rampage, and the reaction of the media is basically to say that the victims had it coming, because race.  Does anyone really believe this outside of race hustlers and Leftists?  I am beyond fed up by the lies and the cant surrounding race relations in this country.  Time for a massive change before the Left sparks a race war with only losers.

That’s odd. I follow the news pretty closely and haven’t seen most of these. I did see some on our local Fox affiliate. No doubt unintentional oversight.

An awful lot of dreck comes over our Facebook wall, sir. And, yes, street-level Democrats do believe this. These include collateral relations, shirt-tail relations, quondam co-workers, and old friends. So far, we haven’t heard from siblings. I should mention that we have two blacks on our friend list who post things routinely. They’re being rather circumspect right at the moment.

I am under an interdict right now and do not reply. The thing is, Don, these people are looking inside themselves and nowhere else. One of the themes of Thomas Sowell’s work on contemporary discourse is how much of it (and how much social policy) is completely divorced from empirical observation. Vision of the Anointed intersected with these themes. It was issued in 1995, which seems such a tranquil time from this vantage point. I bore you with that Heinlein quotation, but it describes our current situation to a T.

It’s just amazing what a perfect storm has hit us in the last five months.

Art,

My facebook page is in the same shape.

I am flummoxed to a point of speechlessness. While I do not use social media to involve myself in political matters of any length, it has gotten to an extent that I see no point in conversing with many of them on any matter, possibly ever again. I wouldn’t even know where to begin and I cannot imagine I possess the patience or composure to deal with capricious people who view their political enemies as pathological and dehumanized.

…then they wish to blame divisiveness and hate on the mere existence of others. These are stupid and terrible times.
